Roulette Systems
Basically, there are two types of roulette systems. The positive
progession roulette systems, and the negative progression roulette
systems.
In negative progression systems, wagers are raised after losing
a bet. The logic behind this system is the frequency of winning
sessions, and it assumes that in almost every session, the player
will be able to leave on a win. An example is a player that loses
1 dollars, doubles up to 2 dollars, loses again, doubles to 4, loses
again, doubles up to 8 dollars and win. Then he starts all over
again at 1 dollars and doubles up until he wins.
The most famous of these systems is the Martingale system, and
the casino protects itself against this system by adding a limit
to the amount a player can bet.
The downside of these roulette systems is that the loosing sessions
are rather expensive for the player.
Another method is positive progression - letting a profit ride.
In these systems you double the amount of money when you win until
a certain limit. For instance, you could double up five times, and
then start all over on one dollar again, when you win.
The downside of this system is that the player needs to get a certain
amount of consecutive wins.
